An internet routing issue was reported earlier today by NZ customers this morning which affected traffic to some RedShield customer services, resulting in a performance degradation to some web application users between 9:05AM and 9:40AM.
RedShield identified a reduced volume of traffic reaching RedShield networks from two major carrier networks, with other carriers appearing to be unaffected.
The issue was resolved and service returned to normal. During this period some RedShield customer traffic was automatically rerouted via alternative datacenters to restore service, particularly for applications hosted in Australian public cloud networks.
