Meltdown and Spectre Vulnerabilities - CVE-2017-5754, CVE-2017-5753 & CVE-2017-5715

The Meltdown and Spectre (https://meltdownattack.com) vulnerabilities allow a malicious program access to data stored in the memory of other running programs. These vulnerabilities affect personal computers, mobile devices, and servers based on ARM and Intel CPUs. These vulnerabilities allow an attacker to compromise the privileged memory of a processor by exploiting the way processes run in parallel.

RedShield support team continues to monitor the Shielding service and all relevant network components, however due to our specific architectural configuration, the team does not believe that the service is vulnerable to attack.

It is highly recommended that clients validate the level of vulnerabilities of all devices on their networks to these threats as a matter of urgency, and patch as appropriate as soon as vendors make updates available.
