Our vendor F5 Networks has identified this issue as a bug, and we are currently working with them in the process of upgrading all affected clusters. This is expected to be completed by 18:00pm NZT, at which time we expect the root cause of the issue to be resolved.
Please also note, this is not a security issue or in any way related to the F5 security advisory issued yesterday.

No further update and we continue to work with our vendor to resolve Sydney performance. Unless we have further information, next update will be at 5pm NZT.
We are aware of a performance issue with our Sydney shielding cluster causing platform instability. We are working with our vendor to resolve the issue.
We have moved affected customers to our backup clusters in Auckland and Melbourne. The issue has stabilised and our team continues to investigate Sydney performance problems and traffic will be reverted once we are confident the problem is resolved. We will provide further updates as more information comes to hand.
